We believe that storytelling has the power to inspire change and raise awareness about the pressing issues facing our planet. As the only production company that actively finances conservation work in exchange for filming rights, we’re uniquely positioned to make a tangible impact. Our approach allows us to immerse audiences in the natural world while also elevating the causes we film, bringing much-needed exposure to critical conservation efforts.

Through our innovative projects, we aim to engage audiences not just in the beauty of wildlife but also in the importance of preserving it. By intertwining our narratives with real-world conservation initiatives, we hope to foster a deeper connection between viewers and the natural environment, ultimately encouraging action and advocacy for the causes that matter the most.

Phantasticus has undertaken a range of groundbreaking projects that highlight our commitment to wildlife conservation. In 2021, we facilitated the first-ever wild elephant translocation in Mozambique, relocating elephants from the Maputo Special Reserve, to Zinave National Park to alleviate human-wildlife conflict and bolster the local elephant population. The longest phase of this project consisted of 32 hours of capture and a 25-hour drive.  Our team has also relocated man-eating crocodiles from conflict zones to remote areas, addressing similar issues of human-wildlife tension, and translocated a Spectacled Bear from a region where it faced threats to the Chaparri Ecological Reserve. During the filming of Island of the Walking Sharks for Shark Week 2022, we captured the first-ever footage of a Papuan species of Epaulette Shark, the Leopard Epaulette Shark walking on land. And we’re continually seeking new opportunities to expand our impact, with many more exciting initiatives on the horizon.
